The media ruined Ricky Williams' career.

I don't think anyone has bothered to consider that Lynch may have social anxiety.

I also don't know how much Lynch has considered how much he might miss the money he loses due to fines in his later years. I don't care who you are, one day you'll wake up and say "man I really wish I had an extra $100,000 right now."

YEah Ricky Williams anxiety was so bad he would wear his helmet for interviews. Lynch might have some sort of similar anxiety.

I hate the media because more often than not they are just looking for that one quote that will get them more clicks and make that writer famous. So I love what Lynch does.

Not cool and edgy, but it's definitely funny. It's all pretty irrelevant so I will like the guy who does funny and different things.

I'm sure they'd be real polite when he says that 1 thing the media is waiting on to pounce.

even just having a fixed number of players that are exempt from media access would work. say each team gets 8 players from the active roster exempt from interviews and you have to release the names along with active/inactive roster. it would give the coach/owner/players a chance to negate comments that could be detrimental to all parties except the media of course. i'm sure every team has a couple guys that when put behind a mic, the coaches and owners just get a litttttle queasy to say the least

Not to mention its in the players contract... I also love Lynch as a player but he needs to just get over the whole media crap

I think it's just the environment that's been created in Seattle. They feel they can do whatever the hell they want.

Yeah his celebrations are ridiculous too. But ESPN has a hard on for him and the entire Seattle team and as we all know they control everything.

I think it is weird that so many people are anti-media. Do you guys just assume you'd have all this information at your disposal if they didn't exist? Maybe conducting the interviews in the lockerroom is a bit odd, but all of these articles, tweets, etc. come from the media. I know I am not saying anything profound, but they play a huge role in how we consume sports.

And that's great for business, which is why the NFL has no reason to go for the idea of choosing guys to be exempt.

i just don't think its fair for the players to have to answer questions right after games, especially the nfl. can you imagine getting in a fist fight with your biggest bully and them some douche coming up to you right after and asking pointed questions. you don't think you'd same something you'd regret more times than not? i know i would.

Yea, I completely agree. But it's also why the NFL does it, it's the best time to get those great soundbites.

The NFL cares about dollars above their players, they've proved that over and over.

He is an arse to the media because they FORCE him to speak to them. He was fine just not saying anything. I don't blame him at all. He's a football player. He gets paid to win football games, not be a media presence. That's just a dumb clause on their contracts he has to accept in order to be paid millions to play football.

We probably have things within our job responsibilities we don't like doing, that's just the way it goes.
