Have people even played basketball or sports before? Its not like the day after you play intense ball you can't walk if you are in incredible shape. Biggest difference would be mental I would think.
And you're right, it's not like you can't walk... but you notice the effects when you are playing. Your shot just isn't quite right. And it's generally a little short. You put the same touch on the ball that you always do, and it looks like it's going in because it feels right, yet it hits the front of the rim.
Then after you keep doing it, you put a little "extra" on the shot, and since you aren't used to doing that, it can cause you to put too much on it and shoot it long. Subtle changes like that affect you. Your legs don't "feel" tired necessarily... but you know they must be because you're just off.
You don't really notice "why" it's not right when you are playing, but it certainly affects you.
And deep into games, you do notice that you are more tired than normal.
But when you get rest and you are fresh, you just feel good physically.

As the BSS twitter pointed out, the Pels are 5-3 in their last eight with wins over Houston and Cleveland. Despite this game, still not bad.

One loss. Oh well. I said Tyreke shouldn't play. Monty needs to listen to me.

Aren't you the one that chalked up 10 points to the Rockets playing back to back?

As I suspected, its more or less a myth. Teams don't play worse. Certainly not 10 points worse. Teams have an under 50% record but that's because they play more road games. Likely what gave rise to the myth.

Haven't been to a game since they drafted AD. Moved to Gonzales and now went to a game. Picked a bad one to go to for sure
