Perhaps there was another request on the fark board. Freek never posted a photo in the thread I linked above. Don't see why it's such a big deal either way.

It's no big deal. Just setting the record straight.

It's all good. I seriously thought you were just being the standard smartass.

I just can't come to terms with a recruit of his caliber picking TCU.

Why not? They're hot right now.

People need to come to terms with the fact that kids don't give a damn about tradition. It's about what's hot right now.

I'm not 100% sure on this.. but I'm pretty close to that... but I don't think TCU has ever landed a 5* recruit.

It's a new age. 10 years ago Oregon wasn't a destination for top recruits.

The average top recruit today isn't concerned with tradition. It's about who's hot today and how they can help them get to the league.

That said, LSU would seem to be a better fit for what Mack wants. But I wouldn't be shocked if he picked TCU.

Oregon also has what TCU does not have. A booster who's willing to dump millions and millions of dollars into the facilities and program.

TCU does not have that.

Oregon also is a national brand. Same with the other major state universities. You get seen every week, even if you're playing an OOC against a non P5 school.

Mack could go and play and be a star. Get drafted and go on to bigger and better things.

He has a better opportunity to do this under Chavis though. But that's just my opinion.

Interesting tidbit from a 2010 article.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- By the start of the 2012 season, TCU's antiquated Amon G. Carter Stadium will finally join coach Gary Patterson's Horned Frogs in the modern era.

TCU announced Monday an eagerly awaited and much-needed $105 million renovation of the west side and north end zone that will transform the 80-year-old stadium into, as TCU puts it, "the Camden Yards of collegiate football stadiums."

The project, fully funded by 34 donors, will begin immediately following TCU's final home game on Nov. 13 and will be completed for the start of the 2012 football season, "when Oklahoma, Virginia and BYU come to town," Patterson said. "The day after our last ballgame, we're going to get ready to go. I don't think you'll see it come down slowly."

34 donors coughed up 105 million. That is sick.

yeah, that was pressured though.

They didn't do that and they don't get a BIG12 invite and they get left behind forever.

Is it true he said he just needs his parents to love LSU as much as he does?

Yes, so at the very least we have a good chance to land him.
