Tell me you can change the things name. The fact that I read an article a few days before the release detailing how Steven Hawking thinks artificial intelligence will eventually be the end of mankind makes "it" creepier. Maybe Alexis can pick FBD....

So far, I think it is really cool.
I set her up in the kitchen. The volume gets LOUD and is really good quality (good bass too), which is awesome because it comes with a remote that is also a portable mic, so I can say commands from anywhere in the house.
She can hear me from across the room pretty well, and she's easy to understand.
I'll definitely be using it for music (no more laptop in the kitchen!), building grocery lists, and the timer (no more old school wind-up timer).

Thanks. I'll be putting mine near the kitchen too. I have Amazon prime and have been using their music app lately.

It's Alexa. I think that is the only name you can use now. But I imagine, like with all technology, it will have updates and adding the ability to change the name will be one of the first things they do.
The music all comes from Prime Music, which has way more than my personal Spotify, so that's nice.

At this point you can only change it to Amazon, but that will be changing.
