I'm no sunshine pumper but when I look at this roster I can't help but catch football wood

This team is loaded and will be through about 2018-19. Talent wise, this team has no excuses.

I completely agree. Plus, the 2015 class might be even better than we initially thought.

I also recently realized that the Chief is only 58. Surely Les can keep him around to reel in that loaded 2016 class

If we start the QB who is most capable of getting the ball to Dural and Dupre, we will "wreck shite" next season.

Impossible.

Miles do ed snt coach players and they run 3 plays a game.

Hes lacking in recruiting and the sophomore quarterback will never develop into anything.

Or Jennings improves

He was only a sophomore too

Either is fine with me as long as shite is drastically improved

No excuse. He should have been ready and an All sec qb by the time he was in the middle of his freshman year

Just look at Ohio st qbs

You could have rewound 4 years and said the same thing. And we have no excuses.

it's a pretty unique circumstance having to beat a team as loaded as the 2011 bama twice

let's not forget losing our heisman finalist at the last second to start 2012. huge blow to our chances

not true

this team is not losing the same amount of talent on defense

put 2013 O with 2011/12

it's about making it all come together at the same time

1) If it was only Bama that we were losing to I would argue stay the course. But we've lost to every team in the SECW less A&M in the last four seasons.
2) There are no gurantees that we won't have to beat Bama 2X in the current format. In fact, if it were this format in play in '11, do you think a 1 loss Bama team would be on the outside looking in?
3) Tyrann was missed in '12. No doubt. But have we any gurantees that the talent the OP is referring to isn't going to mess-up, get hurt, or leave early?

It's been a while since we've been short on talent. If we really want to win championships, Les needs to put '08 behind him and use the talent we have on O.

it's the best division in college football. outside of Arkansas and I think State, Bama has lost to everyone in the West. your point?

I'm genuinely not sure a human committee would have let Alabama get away with not even winning their division. I'm doubtful we'll ever see 2 SEC teams in the playoffs, and frankly that doesn't bother me. it's good for college football.

Of course not, but everyone else is in the same boat in that regard. it doesn't mean we're not loaded. there's no need to shite on the op's optimism, because LSU fans have every reason to be excited about these next couple of seasons

We lose 2-4 games a year in the SEC now even with all our talent. It's not just Bama we're losing to. If we want better results than we've seen the last 4-5 season (which is what the OP is anticipating going forward), then there needs to be a paradigm shift in Les's approach to O. We would all be even more optimistic if we saw that.

FTR, what four teams do you think would have been in the playoffs in '11?

We need a competent passer if we're going to actually win the championship. A good defense can get us there, and I think we will be a tough team.
