I'm headed to a friends' ranch for New Years and hoping to repay the gesture by bringing along a thermal scope for a hog hunt. I don't own one and am interested in renting one. Ive shot them a few times using another friends guns...it's the tits. I've seen a few places that rent them but would welcome any recommendations from those that have rented or used various models regularly.

I've been looking at thermal outfitters.com but there are a few others.

Any input is appreciated.

My bros got like a 20G nite scope but dont think hed go for it

The one my buddy has was about $5,500. It's crazy because it's EXACTLY like using thermal scopes on a video game. It was crazy fun.

What rifle are planing to used. Amazon.com has some cheap thermal scope you could buy and return if you didnt like it.

that is a IR scope not a thermal scope.

I have used a thermal here and it was bad arse. there is a company out of Dallas that will rent them and then give you the cost of your rental fee toward a purchase if you so choose.

That Dallas company is the one I referenced. I've exchanged a couple emails from them and am waiting on pricing for a 10 day rental.
