The worst thing in the world for A&M recruiting is to start losing guys to Texas.

nah, the worst thing is to lose them to LSU

we don't play the sips so its not as big a deal as some of those still suffering from battered Aggie syndrome are making it.

You were going to lose guys to LSU either way. We recruit as well as anyone in the country. Y'all certainly didn't need Texas getting their shite together.

Exactly. The problem is not enough sacks!

Is Sumlin that bad to work for?

Kingsbury sure did well in his short stint there, had Sumlin had an equivalent on the DC side you would have had a monster season or two.

Like many HC's, Sumlin appears to be about as good as the guys working for him, and now that 5 million pay check bump begins to look rather suspicious.

5 HC created out of Sumlin's assistants in the past 4 years. Guess how many were on the defensive side of the ball.

I agree, it is a tough sell to be DC for A&M, but someone will do it.

Pretty hard to hire a guy when you are running an offense on the other side of the ball that will kill his career.

That's why I didn't expect Muschamp to end up at Auburn. I know its a run based spread hurry up and isn't as fast paced as A&M but still its hard for a defense to be successful working with a offense like that.

But a&m uses a helicopter, stadium renovations, facilities, etc.

Your "program" is lipstick on a pig. Only your fans believed you were legit.

What fallout? A&M hasn't been anything more than mediocre since joining the SEC. Johnny Football just made them trendy for a little while. The Ags picked up a handful of highly ranked prospects for shallow reasons.

Sumlin's seat will be extremely hot next year with the misses/decommits today IMO

If you only knew what message board you were on:

There are Ranters, here, that will kill their dog for a coach with 8-5 (bowl win) and a missed recruit or five.

According to the Rant, Sumlin will be juuuuust fine with some very staunch supporters.
