I believe it was the combo of incredible editing, non-fiction, and having a newborn. I still think about this film.

"Dear Zachary"

Mommy loves you

Might want to at least put the movie title somewhere in the OP or thread title.

I know it's DZ, but some may not.

It's a messed up documentary, but the message is pretty simple: Don't stick your dick in the crazy. And if you do, don't get the crazy pregnant.

What if the crazy comes out AFTER the hook up? I agree with the pregnant part.

The bitch was like 15 years older than him and had already been divorced twice, pretty sure the crazy was already on full display.

The scary part of this movie isn't the actions of Turner, but rather the Canadian justice system basically going out of their way to enable her to commit said actions.

Agreed, but she still freaks me out. The video editing after the headline reveal was some of the best I have ever seen.

Guy meets crazy woman

Guy dates crazy woman

Guy breaks up with crazy woman

Crazy woman kills guy

Crazy woman flees to Canada

Turns out Crazy woman is pregnant

Guy's parents win custody while crazy woman goes to prison

Canadian justice system massively fricks up and grants crazy woman a release while awaiting trial AND partial custody of child

Crazy woman drowns child and self in the ocean

The end.

Seen it thrice. It's incredibly enthralling to me.

ETA: I have a hard time saying "daddy loves you" to my 3 month old because i hear her voice when she's on the phone saying "mommy loves you, mommy misses you".

Upon further reflection...maybe I shouldn't have watched it three times.

Heartbreaking. Now that I have kids, I'm not sure I will watch it again. Just too tragic. What a fricking shame. Makes me sick.
