Why do Shreveport people have such a hard-on for Brandon Harris?

Every single one of you think he's been done a tremendous injustice by Les, that Les is keeping bottled up the greatest QB talent since Sid Luckman, that he would win the Heisman if only allowed to play, and some even go so far as to publicly encourage him to transfer. I have not encountered a single one of you people (and I am originally from there) who thinks maybe the kid just isn't ready.

Show me proof that he in fact is not ready besides one bad half of football that the entire team was bad in. The injustice is to the whole team not just Brandon Harris.

this is the deal

Jennings finished the season 104-for-213 passing for 1,460 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions, which dropped the Tigers to the bottom of the barrel in the conference, finishing last among the 14 SEC teams in passing offense.

No matter, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and head coach Les Miles stuck with the sophomore, and Jennings said that vote of confidence sent a strong message to both him and the rest of the offense.

"I am the leader of this offense,” Jennings said. "I think all the guys around me know that.

This is our reality on the subject. Brandon Harris or any other qb and this is our situation.

No rational person is claiming he would win the Heisman. Most people are just saying he can't be worse than AJ, which I agree with.

I think a lot of people have the same line of thinking as compared to JJ in the BCSNCG. Yeah, maybe JL would have done as bad, if not worse, but you have to try something else when what you're trotting out there is just putrid.

If Harris isn't ready to throw for more than 80 ypg and 0 TDs, then it's because he flat out sucks.

But I actually believe this system magnifies the QB problems we have. Neither QB has looked comfortable running it. They both have looked lost multiple times.

Maybe he is better but I heard on the radio I think 104.9 yesterday morning, that the reason he isn't playing us because he lost trust and respect from the coach and the team because of his actions and attitude off the field and in the locker room. Supposedly the players have just as much confidence in Jennings as the coaches.
Not sure how true it us or not but seems plausible.

Jennings was still beating Harris regularly to the facility after the season started. He was staying later than Harris was and was putting in extra work.

The fact that Harris didn't realize that you have to outwork those older than you from Sunday through Friday to play on Saturday is all the evidence you need.

Disagree with the philosophy it all you want, but Miles has shown he will play younger kids, but they have to prove it in preparation not JUST when the lights come on.

By the time #6 realized it, Jennings had taken control of this team and after the the Auburn game their identity was formed.

I think that might be a bit too far. He simply got outworked by a less talented guy and when he had to put up or shut up, he didn't.

Maybe he wanted someone to tell him exactly what to do, but my guess is they wanted him to put his big boy pants on and figure it out as part of his learning process. In the long run, it will probably make him better.

Well.if you have two qbs that arent playing well, you play the one with higher ceiling. BHarris is the one with a higher ceiling.

After the Auburn game Harris spoke up like a man and Jennings still showed lack of scoring with the offense in his control in that same game. Do tell me more.

Early to the job is admirable and all, however results are needed to improve the whole of the team. Jennings results are not comparable to Harris. If the team is sinking because they want to, then we shall all go down together.

No, you play the ones who deserves it. You don't always reward someone who isn't "doing the right things" over someone who is simply because he has more talent.

We're not talking about Jameis Winston vs Andrew Hatch here. They both brought something similar to the table, one had experience and outworked the younger one.

I don't need to say it...you just did.

Jennings had already entrenched himself through NMSU. After his debacle there Miles went with Harris and it didn't work out. It didn't change that Jennings "got it" earlier and sooner.
