If you feel like making a 30 minute drive and limited to fish off the bank, head south on 27 headed towards Holly Beach and stop at the nature trail or Hog Island gully and fish the weirs on an outgoing tide.

Yeah this time of year you can catch a lot of trout fishing the edge of the ship channel right there by the bridge.
