blackmill is chillstep
adventure club link is dubstep, they do a clean dubstep with minimal wuubs and wobbles, but it doesn't get any better than the song you linked
I would say Odesza is indie dance
Flume is kinda all over the place, strong hip hop influences. chill funky downtempo stuff.

you can call it what you want, but if he searches for your suggestions he won't find what hes looking for.
He'll look for synthpop, and he'll find depeche mode and other 80's music.
he'll search for chillwave and find bands like washed out, and tori y moi that are sleepy with reverbed vocals.
Indietronica is not wrong, but its not a popular tag and like electronica, really just a catch all description that will lead him to a wide range of music.
