Partaking in the drink specials at Fred's based on how many points Chris Jackson scored!

It was on when he went over 50!

That UNLV game was the loudest basketball game I've ever attended at LSU. You couldn't hear yourself in the last 5 minutes of that one. It was Superbowl Sunday (SB in NOLA) and LSU had crushed Florida the day before. The UNLV players were walking around outside the PMAC after the Florida game as if they owned the place. Was awesome to take care of them after that.

Indeed, it was. Those were some really good times.

Damn, I'm getting old.

That was my commencement ceremony, sat on the 20 yard line. Reagan told some story about the evils of communism. It totally fell flat.

Thank you. That was my graduation as well. It was hot as shite as I had a suit on under my robe.

Yeah, Ronnie standing up there delivering platitude after platitude just before we graduated into the teeth of a recession. Made me feel like the honorary degree LSU awarded Reagan cheapened my diploma.

In his defense, though, he was on the brink of total dementia.

The year before ( when I gradjated) in 1989 we had bill Clinton deliver the commencement. At the time he was just the governor of Arky. I was like what the heck??? We can't even get the governor of our own state. I had never heard of him before.

The presidents we have had since Reagan don't deserve to hold his jock strap. If you want to learn something about liberty and freedom then I suggest you go back and listen to some of his speeches and contrast them with what you hear today. I would have been honored to have him at my graduation.
