Really? Link to a cop selling a t shirt regarding an incident where the cop(s) were not cleared. I'll wait. Since there are no strawmen arguments you should have a link in no time.

Look, if you want to keep denying that our civil liberties (and lives) are under assault, go ahead. I'm not going to get dragged down arguing with your non sequiturs.

They have repeatedly stated that this thread has moved on from the topic of tshirts.

I will say in regards to the original topic that the tshirt idea was a terrible, terrible PR move.

They couldn't have picked a worse tshirt idea.

no, its not a strawman.

Yeah, cops selling tshirts promoting their random acts of violence is incredibly rare.

I personally think the cops and their supporters should be able to broadcast their stupidity by buying, selling and wearing these t-shirts. YEAH, WE KILLED SOMEONE! frick yeah, and we got off!

Just let him cling on to that, cause he knows he can't defend the executions of David Hooks or John Crawford. So let him cling desperately to the T shirt thing.

Social Justice Warrior...it's something the board picked up somewhere...kind of like the Alinsky references that dominated the board after Glen Beck mentioned it.

This board is now taking its cues from a recovering drug addict and alcoholic.

What myth and how does an overarching discussion hinge on Mike Brown? See: Tamir Rice. See: any of the other links provided by REG, etc.

The myth that good cops protect bad ones.
I put in the Mike Brown reference to show that just because people keep repeating "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" even though it has been proven that MB was charging and did not have his hands up.

Tamir Rice is still under investigation. That appears to be a bad hire because another department got rid of a cop that shouldn't be doing the job. If good cops didn't get rid of bad cops then he would still be working at his previous department. This shooting seems to prove what his previous department stated. Cleveland PD will have to improve their hiring practices.

Are you claiming this isn't true?

The view that cops who "rat" on other cops are shunned isn't true?

Also from cwill's link:

This comment thread at the online police forum PoliceLink has more examples of t-shirts the law enforcement commenters found amusing. Among the comments:

-- "In God we trust, all others get searched,"

-- "A picture of an electric chair with the caption: JUSTICE: Regular or Crispy"

-- "B.D.R.T Baby Daddy Removal Team on the back and the initials on front with handcuffs. You should see peoples faces when I wear it....HAHAHAHA"

-- "Human trash collector. ( above a pair of handcuffs )"

-- "Take No Guff, Cut No Slack, Hook'em, Book'em and Don't Look Back!"

-- "'Boys on the Hood' Pic had two gangbangers jacked up on the hood of a patrol car with two officers."

-- "SWAT T-shirt: 'Happiness is getting the green light!'"

-- "I have one that sates "SWAT SNIPER" on the front and on back it has a picure of a "terrorist" with a shell ripping through his skull and the "pink mist" spraying from the back of his head. Below the picture it reads, "Guerillas in the mist".

-- "Save the police time, beat yourself up"

-- "An ounce of prevention is fine and dandy........ But we prefer 168 grains of cure."

-- "Be good or you might get a visit from the bullet fairy."

-- "Sniper - When you only have 1 shot at an opportunity......We'll make it count"

-- "Law Enforcement......Helping perps slip down stairs since 1766"

-- "Math for Cops.........2 to the chest + 1 to the head = problem solved"

-- "I had a couple of 'em a loooong time ago....1 showed a cop leaning on his rather long nightstick, saying "Police Brutality....the fun part of policework."......obviously not very PC....another was a picture of a LEO with smoke coming from the muzzle of his pistol, with a badguy falling backwards (lookin' like swiss cheese) with the caption.....The best action is OVERREACTION....also not very PC...."

-- "Cops make good roommates...they're used to taking out the trash."

-- "There was also one I saw where there was a big burly looking Sarge behind his desk and the cation read 'It doesn't say kindness and sympathy on the badge.'"

-- "happiness is a confirmed kill"

-- "Park Ranger T-shirt: One of funniest I ever saw: Picture of Smokey the Bear with Riot Gear and he's just poked a protester in the chest with a riot baton. The Caption Reads: "Smokey Don't Play That". Funny!"

-- "My Daddy can Taser your Daddy"

-- "School Patrol - You fail em, we jail em"

-- "Got one that says, "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you."

Maybe that shirt should say "If you raised them, we wouldn't have to cage them."

I can't speak for all departments, but in my department it isn't true. We have a ton of peer pressure to do the job correctly from the other officers on the street.

I also have trained at other departments and know that they strive to have better officers. Good cops want to work with officers they can depend on in a bad situation. I don't want my life depending on a bad officer that I can't trust. Would you want to work with someone that may not be there if you really needed them?

Well your posts on here confirm this so called "myth." You are always rationalizing or giving excuses in pretty much every single cop thread.
