Cavs lost 127-98 tonight and the defense has been dreadful.

If they do in fact can him,who would be the favorite to land that job?

Marc Tressman sucks.

If Blatt fails then no more foreign hires ever.

I am positive that Blatt is a good coach. I just think the team is having serious growing pain, and they have some huge problems with the roster. They need some young role players who can really defend, especially in the post.

They are going to make a deal relatively soon. If they don't get much better after that I bet he gets canned.

Tbf to Blatt I'm just not sure what they can do to fix that defense though. The pieces aren't there.

I'm kinda having flashbacks of the 2010 heat.

But that team had a 25-26 year old lebron and prime DWade who were better defensively back then.

That team also had similar issues in the paint.

Unfortunately, signing LeBron forced them to win now. I just hate watching teams built around LeBron at this point. They just aren't organic in any way.

I know!! I can't believe a team with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love is bad at defense...

Plus Bosh >>>>>>>>>>> Love defensively. He was an enormous part of how they played defense.

Do you think they're starting to regret Wiggins for Love?

NBATV just showed a breakdown of the Cavs defense at times tonight. So bad. They look completely lost.

Possibly. I still think trading for Love was the right decision once they got LeBron. Wiggins is showing great flashes, but he is getting the chance to grow without too much pressure on him yet. I think Cleveland was a bad spot for Wiggins because it would be hard for a star to develop next to LeBron.

It sounds crazy, and they could figure things out, but signing LeBron could turn out to be the wrong long term move for the franchise if they can't get a championship. Wiggins could end up being REALLY good. And LeBron has played a lot of basketball already.

Time will be very good to Chris Bosh's legacy. I think he will get into the Hall of Fame when it's all said and done.

This is the part that will weigh heavily on CLE over the next couple of seasons. MIA, by comparison, had all the time in the world for James to come into his own. He was ascending as an individual player as the team gelled around him.

At this point, there's not much more LBJ can do to improve as a player. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, because he's a beast. But while MIA had the luxury of getting better along with James, the Cavs are going to have to pick themselves up by their bootstraps to match the high level at which James plays.

Before he inevitably loses a step.

Yep. Some people think Love is a good defender because he is a good rebounder, when in reality he is a good rebounder because he isn't a good defender. They have very little rim protection, and Lebron has been way below his standard as a defender. Their offense is fine, but their defense needs to get much better to have a chance at competing in the playoffs.

If I'm the Cavs, I try and trade a draft pick for Brendan Wright if he ends up on the Celtics.
