What makes you think that?

I have to agree....this sounds like a big reach to me and I'm not even talking about this player since I know 0 about him. LSU does NOT need any more TEs/pseudo TEs/H backs/FBs, etc. Mouton and Shipley are enough for this class and I dont cvare where those 2 are going to end up. Find another LBer/DE/a special teams guy to return punts and kickoffs, etc, etc, etc. When announcers at televised games start making jokes about having "10,000 tight ends on the roster and they never seem to throw to them", enough is enough. J Washington looked all world in the AA game and didn't even hit the field this year.

BTW, I do disagree on one point. Not everyone is recruited to be a starter at a position. Some players are recruited for special teams, etc. The NFL has a limit of what 53 eligible players for any week. College has 85 scholarship players so they do have some scholarships to play with. But when I see T White and L Fournette being average at absolute best in returning kicks, for God's sake, sign a return specialist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of yall really need to get a clue. LSU runs out of the two TE formation all the time. Guess what you need to run out of the two TE formation? TEs!!!!!!

LSU has only 4 TEs coming back next season. There is a need for another one

Noooooo, actually, you do NOT have to have HS TEs to run a 2 TE offense. Since they never are thrown too anyway, my suggestion has been to recruit ANOTHER OL who blocks much better than a TE and if you want 2 TEs on the LOS in name only, give one of the OL an 86 number for example or 87 or 88. They would be eligible receivers who would never catch a pass....exactly like the current situation I might add!

If you are only going to use TEs to block, then hell, get a better blocking OL and call him a TE. Problem solved!

A lineman can't catch the ball when Cam decides to throw to them. A lineman couldn't make the catch Logan Stokes did against Ole Miss

Melvin Jones will be a junior next year, Mouton will fill the spot that he will leave in 2 years. Shipley will either be an extra OT/TE hybrid in the likes of Gordon (who will be a senior next year), or a straight up OT. Moreau would be the first true TE we get. They problem believe that they won't be getting Clarington. Washington came in like 6'5 and 220lbs that's a glorified big WR. Right now we have one TE who can block well, that ain't enough boss.

They are looking at LBs and DEs, from JUCOs, to guys they are trying to flip. Dillon will be a jack of all trades pickup and they are likely getting Jackson who is another guy who could play both sides and special teams.

With guys like Chark, Dural, Quinn, Voorhies, Adams, and James, we have plenty of options on the team right now. Ask Peveto why another guy is not getting a chance.

We aren't hurting for explosive players.

BTW, I did not say that LSU should have 0 TEs...just not load the roster with them. You acted like that BLOCKING TEs were necessary for the run game...nope, they aren't. Recruit more OL which will help OL depth and block better than the TEs LSU signed. Once again, problem solved.
