I read something about a CFL team in Shreveport this weekend, my question is why Shreveport? I tried to look it up but I was wondering if anyone on the board might remember the Pirates from back in the day

One of my friends got me a Shreveport Pirates t-shirt for my birthday a couple years ago. Awesome shite. I remember my dad used to have a holey grass cutting shirt like it.

I used to go to their games all the time when I was a kid. Those were the days.

Used to go to their games when I was younger. It was sad. That was when the mudbugs still played in Hirsch

Its a football crazy area of the country that had no team and they didnt want to go up against the Saints.

They also apparently had one of the highest attendances in the league.

I was 5 years old for their one season and can vaguely remember going to some games. I do remember after they folded, I thought they left and became the Patriots.

My young mind associated the logos
