Well that makes sense. You only pick up bad habits AFTER leaving that program.

Really, they were always a contender. Probably even with LSU.

And when you say "trending Bama" what does that mean? crystal balls? a report or two? Twitter?

Has more to do with his legal issues. He would already be committed and probably signed with LSU if his issues were cleared up. Seems like Bama is taking more of a proactive approach allowing him to OV and are recruiting him like his legal issues are certain to be resolved soon.

Is there anything more worthless than the "trending" feature?

Flipside of that is his issues are legit worries.

1. Trying to cash fraudulent check
2. Choking a woman

Not exactly your typical "boys will be boys" types of indiscretions.

I'm in favor of our coaching staff's approach on this one. This is a hell of a lot worse than Hill getting a blow from a younger girl. He was an instant difference maker, and Miles made him wait a year. Mr Taylor's treatment should be no different.

Even if he gets past his very serious legal issues, he's still a big risk for whoever takes him. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing us pass on this one, no matter what happens.

I agree with you and not just for the character/legal issues. I have never been a huge fan of getting JUCO guys to try to solve problems or add depth. Instead of worrying about a HS guy staying only 3 years if they turn out to be studs, the normal JUCO guy with 2 years of PT previously can leave after only 1 year.

When there are legal issues at Bama it s taken care of "internally".

Well, this just has to play out. If he goes to Bama and truly changes his ways and balls out, we missed a good one. If goes to Bama and messes up, we lucked out on making a bad decision.

It's silly for posters to try and blame LSU administration and/or compliance/coaches for being particularly cautious. The NFL is sending a huge message that violence against women will not be tolerated, and that will find its way to ncaa sports as well.
