He is, in fact, interviewing.

So clearly if they make the offer he want's he will accept?

Or he's fishing for a big raise from Richt?

How do you see it?

Bobo impressed in crunch time during the Ga Tech game. He seems solid.

I wonder how much the 2013 SEC CC game devalued Stec's placement as a head coach?

I think the only reason he would accept would be to cut his teeth somewhere else before returning to UGA when Richt is gone, but CSU having just lost Mac is gonna make the next guys buyout so big I dunno if Bobo will do it.

He deserves a raise.

Because all he has to do is continue to produce outstanding offenses at UGA until Richt retires. He is going to be the head coach after Richt.

But what if he ends up not being a good head coach? Having him cut his teeth somewhere else could be a positive since if he fails he wouldnt set UGA back a few years. Plus you could just promote Bryan McClendon to OC and then when Bobo comes homes after three years they'd be set. That's just one possibility but it does have its positives.

ETA: Didnt see your post directly above. Seems like we're on the same page.

Bryan McClendon doesn't understand the passing game enough to be OC. Tony Ball would be a better choice but losing Bobo would be a setback regardless.

Richt has to go outside on this hire and with the talent level they can lure some good OCs to come on board.

He only played WR at UGA under Richt.

That doesn't mean shite.

Think of all the football players that you wouldn't trust running schemes as a coach.

Not that I advocate the move, but do you know the current position held by B Mac?

I didnt say I wanted to make the move. Just pointing out that BMac played WR under CMR. So saying he doesnt under stand the passing game is no where near accurate. We also use our RBs in the passing game.

Since Friend is leaving with Bobo, I vote that we hire Ralph Friedgen as OC/OL and then bring in Big Bad Brad Johnson (Richt's cousin or Bro-in-law or some shite) to coach QBs.

what does he coach? what about your RB's coach?

Might be better to look at some young FCS head coaches that would want a promotion to the bigs, SEC Coordinator is "the show".

Friend was our OL coach. It looks like our RB coach is staying for now.

Pretty sure he's interviewed for NFL head coaching gigs recently, so it seems unlikely. Would be a home run hire to say the least though.
