Good stuff, although the win out/lose out columns are pretty much useless right now

If you search thru the site they have % chances of different seeds, SEC ranks, etc. As the season goes on it becomes more and more interesting. It is pretty similar to an RPI so I'm not gonna go out saying it's super accurate right now, but to think we are in bad position right now would be wrong.

Right now, they have us as the most likely team to finish second in the SEC behind Kentucky. I would be ecstatic if that's how it turns out, but I'll be happy with wherever we finish if we get an NCAA bid.

you suck

You were absent after the WVU win, and the board rejoiced.

Do us a favor. Come back in April, jackass.

NIT

Half of SEC games are on road (as always). Team is good, but not good enough to overcome the SEC refs love of the home team (e.g. Shaq - @ ARK). And with Kentucky we have at least one guaranteed home loss because they are more than good enough.

I'd be happy with NIT.

My prediction would be "home".

They are still finding their identity but much closer. The emergence of Quarterman is beyond huge. Once Gray and Hornsby fully settle into working together in games, the guard play will be very good. Martin needs to keep coming along.

But the depth has to be developed. You can get away with an 8-man rotation but not just 6 or even 7. Buy 8-10 minutes per game from a couple of other guys (bigs) and LSU should be a top 4 SEC team on their way to the Dance.

Finish 3rd in SEC. Low NCAA tourney spot or definitely NIT

I would like to say NCAA, but I'm not sure that the SEC is strong enough that we can survive 5 or 6 conference losses and get in, we can't lose close games if we want to make it to the dance

That site seems useless right now, 32% chance that Tulane makes it? That's about 30% too high.

We SHOULD win the next 4 games to be 11-2 heading into SEC play. Then 11-7 SHOULD be attainable given our talent which would put us at 22-9 and a NCAA tourney birth. But lose one of the next 4 NIT here we come again.

Yeah, I'd think that site starts to show its worth toward the end of the season. Not a lot there right now, since most teams haven't even started conference play.

Yea it is about as useful as RPI right now... It really gets informative around halfway thru conference play. Only brought it up so people understand we aren't in bad position right now.

The current NCAA rpi of 15 for the Tigers(That's 2nd in the SEC) bodes very well. Several teams on their early schedule have proven to be better than first thought and it's paying off in LSU's ranking. If they maintain an RPI in the top 40 and win at least 10 games in conference they will be in solid for the dance. They do need to win these next 4 ooc games which is looking a bit more difficult without Gray for some or all of them.

I'm honestly shocked at the negativity regarding the team right now. We are sitting pretty right now if we can wether the timmy q injury

These injuries are a it concerning, but if we can survive them and win these last four OOC games I think we can win 11 in conference and maybe another in the SEC tourney and that gets us in.

And I don't think that's an unrealistic expectation at all for this team in this conference.

I'll know for sure at 7 pm on January 24. If we can at least break even on our first 4 SEC road games (@Mizzou, @Ole Miss, @UF, and @Vandy), we'll most likely win enough SEC games to make the NCAA Ty. We MUST start strong in the SEC this year.
