I got this chick that started shortly after me (I transferred from within the company, she is straight out of college) that tries to point out anything that I do incorrectly. We work in a lab. She is annoying as shite. The woman that trains most everyone gives her special help and assistance.

Pissing him off is a terrible idea. Talk to the man about himself and try to improve your work environment. Talk about not having cell phones in high school like the kids nowadays. You're not young, let him see that.

Go out for drinks or coffee after work and get to know him - I wouldn't suggest revenge etc

How do you have 12 years of experience and have not moved up in the world yet? Maybe you suck at your job and his arrogance is justified.

I am looking for good office ideas to piss him off, I have been given him mis information and watching him spread that around, time to kick it up a notch.

It won't get him transferred or fired, but it will be funny.....

Steal a good stack of his business cards, go to the local bar, any bar, and start chatting up the fat, ugly, and generally undesirable women. Give them his name and his card...

Then just sit back and wait....

OR,
place a craigslist ad advertising his car for a ridiculously low price. In the add put, "call anytime day or night" and his cell phone number.

But your avatar says you're 40.

Anyways, you must have a short temper because this guy literally has nothing on you... yet you still get pissed off? I would literally just laugh it off and that's not a joke. There are people at my workplace who have become that way and are now snitches as well.. you can't help but laugh in their face

So I have this co worker that is a dick. He is older (55-60 years old) and only has about 5 years of work experience at our job. I am 35 and have 12 years experience. He thinks since he is older he can boss everyone around. It takes every fiber in my body to not talk crazy to this guy.

How does it feel to be so weak that mere words hurt you?

To give you answer

1. Get a label maker
2. Print out labels that say "Property of whatever his name is"
3. Start sticking it on a ton of shite. And by a ton I mean it. Thousands should do.
4. Place them on common places like a microwave, to personal items like pencils, to hidden spaces like inside of office drawers. If you are really ballsy put a couple on your bosses car.
5. Watch everyone get pissed off and see the workplace shut down trying to peel them all off one day. Only to discover hundreds more in places they didn't think to check. Like the ceiling fan blades.

Two sides to every story and something tells me you aren't a joy to work with yourself. Why don't you focus on making yourself stand out instead of trying to derail a coworker?

Tell us about his personality. Politics? Favorite sports teams? Where is he from?

It will help us brainstorm ideas on how to truly get under his skin.

Anyone mention annoy-a-tron?

Find out if he owns a bakers rack and then see about getting yourself invited to his New Year's Eve party.

Start eating a high protein diet. Then start farting around his desk and leave the area.

I have had similar problems earlier in my career. I just let it play out and, in both instances, the old men were let go.

Not office related... But...Put one of those large tie wraps around his drive shaft...without cutting the extra length...

It will make a noise that will drive him nuts because he won't figure out where it's coming from...
