So my in-laws are taking our family to Disney World for Easter. The trip would include my FIL, MIL, my wife and I (no kids) and her sister, sister's husband and there two young kids (oldest is 4). We would buy flights they are paying for rooms and most food. I have never been and have zero desire to ever go there and they all know this. My wife has been many times since they have been younger to as recent as 8 years ago. Well my wife just found out she is pregnant.. I say that we shouldn't go since she wont be able to do anything "fun" like ride rides, but she says there is other stuff to do. Should I feel bad for not wanting to go, and should I voice my opinion louder or just STFU and go with it?

I wouldn't go even if wife wasn't pregnant but I'm that a-hole that isn't doing anything I don't want to

I always thought I would hate it, but Disney is pretty cool... And, if the in-laws are paying for the food, then that's a bonus.

Unless she's going to be super pregnant (i.e. 6 months or further along), ya'll should be fine to ride rides. Disney is a fun experience. Just go in expecting to spend quality time with your family and embrace the chaos. Just be up for anything and take it all in. It can be a very fun trip.

Congrats on the sex.

Seriously though, I would be bored if I couldn't ride the rides. I'm sure it would be a fun family trip though since Disney is all magical and stuff.

For real, congrats on the baby.

ETA: You for sure could ride the "it's a small world" ride

it's not that bad. Pleanty to do besides rides. Drink a lot and hang out. Make the best out of it. The food is real good with plenty of resturants.

I dont understand why anyone would want to go to disney that doesn't have kids but that is just me.

its like a vacuum cleaner attached to your wallet.

Take the lodging/food money that you would've spent (easily over $2k) and spend it on booze.

Get belligerently drunk for 905 of the trip.

This is a no win situation the way that you have positioned it here. Tell the wife "you owe me big" and leave it at that. She'll understand and think the world of you all at once.

If you have the coin to stay on the Disney Property, Disney Land without kids is freaking awesome.

I don't want to ride any rides. Never grew up riding that shite, and don't really have a desire to want to do it. Not my kind of fun. I'd rather just sit at a bar and watch the Masters. I know that won't fly with my wife on vacation. They are making it a family trip just to include us. they are really taking the two young kids. I love them and all, but they aren't my children and i could care less about there disney experience. If I had kids it would be a different story.

Disney land can fit inside of Magic Kindom's parking lot.

You better go and enjoy it while you can, because your life is about to change

We went to the wine country when my wife was pregnant, we were going with another couple, but she still wanted to go. So she got to be our designated driver

having stayed on disney property multiple times, I would disagree. I just don't like disney. Give me a beach, and a book any day over disney.

Yeah, well.

If you sacrifice and go now to make everyone happy, maybe your in-laws will be happy to pay for your future kids to go later on.

Why don't you be a littleless short sighted and selfish
