Which late-round RBs can we get good value out of?

We really need to draft a RB in one of the later rounds.

Trade the pick for cap space to re-sign Mark Ingram.

Re-sign Ingram is a priority. Draft a stud guard and get a better center.

Draft a speedy back (a la Sproles)

It's not a BIG problem.. but Pierre is aging and Ingram is gone. We need a young quality back for cheap. Look for physical talent out of a smaller school and pick him up late in the draft.

Why?

Running ability: Average
Passing game: No threat
Blocking ability: Nothing special

He's an average back and you have no cap room to give him anything more than you're paying him now. He has a few 100 yard games against some of the worst defenses in the league and now we speak of him as if he's a Pro Bowl player.

RB is NOT a position to waste $$$ or draft picks. Maybe in the 80s, 90's, or even 10 years ago but not now.

Yeah, Khiry and PT are fine. Bring in an UDFA RB (which we have great success with) and focus on interior OL unless we think a RB available in the mid rounds can be studs.
