Does anyone know where we sit with him? He looks like an absolute monster to me. Also what position is he projected to play? I see his highlights at RB but I think he could be a great LB too. Rivals has him listed at over 250lbs, while ESPN has him at 225, either way he's a big boy!

I hope the talent at RB dosent scare him away from us. BAMA is losing a lot of backs this year and next so I hope they don't pitch him early playing time

Talked to a buddy that has a kid that goes to school with him and he said Devin told him this week he's going to Bama. I wouldn't worry to much yet because he also said earlier this year he was all LSU.

I believe the smoke

At 1 point he was expected to commit anytime now.. Now he's been really quiet

I have no clue where he's leaning but I don't think either side should be confident

LSU should be in good shape at this time, but I'm not going to make any predictions. At the start of fb season I quit asking DW about his college recruitment as I got the feeling he was saying whatever he thought I wanted to hear. A coach told me he enjoyed the Nebraska camp this summer, but who knows now. Yes, he was telling classmates earlier this week that he was going to AL. OTOH, who knows what he's going to do? At this point, I think some of it's like a game to him. He's got some of the immaturities common to all teens, but on a bigger stage. Afterall, he just turned 17 last month.

Yes, he's a monster. Although I didn't see the game, a number of folks told me that in our basketball playoff game last year w/ JC, Devin outjumped Malachi Dupree. I see him as LB moreso than RB. He wants to be given the chance to play either off or def at college and is not interested in programs that commit him to one or the other. At the start of fb season, he was 6" 1 1/2" and 235". He's NOT 250#. Of course he might outgrow both LB and RB. He put on 10# this year from last year. In addition, his dad is 6" 7". And don't forget that he plays nearly every play in every game and gets a lot of his yards between the tackles.

I really don't understand the phenomenon of Louisiana boys wanting to go to Alabama. They don't root for the Pats over the Saints, so why would they go play for the Tide over their own Tigers?

Blegh, just drives me nuts. Hope we get this kid.

Devin is 16 and his birthday is Feb 17. You are right who knows where he will go but I know he is taking his time and seeing what all schools have to offer.

Agreed. It boggles my mind why so many of these kids want to go to bama. Put on that purp and yella and win some national championships in your home state youngin. Within the next two years, especially when Fournette is a junior, we could have more talent than anyone, just with the players in our backyard, so what is the draw to bama?

Thanks for the correction. His freshman year someone who would know told me he'd just had a b'day that week (1st round of playoffs in November). From your info, he's even younger than I thought.

LSU can offer anything that ANY other school in the country can...plus he has a chance to be revered in his home state for the next 40-50 years. We don't forget those who chose to play for the home team. He "takes his talents elsewhere", no one in Louisiana outside of his family will give two chits about him...and that's just a fact. Especially if he goes to play for arch enemy #1.

He likes LSU but is open to other schools. High school coaches in Louisiana were won over by Saban, as he was the first one who didn't let talent in Louisiana go wherever they wanted. When saban was at LSU, there were many "old school" coaches who were very highly thought of in the high school ranks. Now they're prodegies and predecessors are the head coaches. Saban still has the same impression to coaches and players alike, giving them the homey feel as if he still is a part of Louisiana football. Think if Miles went elsewhere, you think he won't have a slight effect in LA? Watch Muschamp on Florida for Aubren. Yall are fricking idiots for not understanding...that or yall are 14 yr olds
