Always loved this movie but I haven't seen it in years.
Also, Jim Harbaugh must be as tough to work with as Kathy Bates is in this movie.

Always loved this movie but I haven't seen it in years. Interesting insight into studio machinations. I'm a fan. Shame that Jay went on to kick Dave's arse afterwards. I guess Dave can take some solace that his career outlived Jay's.
Although he became a cranky old liberal in his dotage.

Great movie, I have it on DVD.
The actors that play Leno, Letterman and Carson are great.
Kathy Bates is incredible.

Really enjoyable movie. The part of Leno hiding in the closet listening to the phone call was pathetic.
I wish they would have done a sequel based on the Conan/Leno fiasco a few years back.

The Late Shift was based on a book written by Bill Carter.
Carter wrote a sequel called The War for Late Night that covers the the Leno/O'Brien stuff, but I don't know if there are any plans to make it into a movie.

Classic movie. Treat Williams was awesome as Michael Ovitz.
