We have reservations at both the night before the bowl game. Which one should we hit up?

TIA

I've never been to Southern, but The Palm is your run of the mill higher end steak joint. Not bad, but nothing special and I believe it's a chain.

I'm going to The Southern on the 26th.

It is. I've been to the one in downtown San Antonio. Good meal, but there are better options.

Good deal. Please bump this thread afterwards with a review. I've never been to Nashville and really looking forward to it.

We will be staying downtown at the Indigo if you happen to be around for a beer during the bowl festivities.

I had the aged strip steak, wife had a fillet. both very good although her's had a sweet sauce on it we could have done without. Had several varietys of oysters, blue point were my favorites. finsihed with the bananas foster bread pudding that was also really good. The atmosphere and Bar are really cool, and it is in a great location to hang out after dinner. I have heard the brunch is fantastic, but have yet to have it. As someone else mentioned, there are multiple places I would pick over the palm. While you are in town I would hit up one of the hot chicken places for lunch, really the only notable cuisine Nashville is known for. I like Hattie B's, but all of them are good.
