According to the bible, man is inherently evil not good. A study of history and human nature would reveal that this is truth. And if someone doubts this, deprive a group of necessities for a few days such as food and water and watch what they will do to others to please and satiate their own needs.

The guy said he was a "realist" and he was literally the furthest thing from it one could possibly be.

Sad as it is, it is what it is.

I'm reminded of a scene from one of the epic Billy Jack movies, where the young hippies at the commune scatter a handful of wheat in the dust and then begin chanting about mother earth feeding them, they planted enough wheat to make a donut.. maybe, assuming it ever actually rained, but they chanted as though they had just planted the south 40.

The disconnect from reality that some people experience is rather shocking to see in practice.

Steyn is certainly the best, the only person that can touch him in humor is Dennis Miller, who still just doesn't have the political chops that Steyn has.

Is there anything objectionable about a Christian believing that God could change any man, no matter how evil the man currently is?

Objectionable, no. Realistic, no.
