Yep. I've only fished that bay a few times. Caught a few flounder on the backside of the island (apparently there's a reef there)
I only fish around there because there's an easy spot to drop in under the bridge and it's close to my buddies house down there.

It's hard to get on the specks down there but you can still catch some fish. I've never had much luck with artificial, the water just stays too dirty. Live bait on the bottom carolina rigged, if the white trout are there you can fill up the yak. Otherwise we always catch plenty of grill sized reds, black drum, flounder etc.

40. On that map is where I was fishing and have caught a few flounder back there. The water in that area is actually usually pretty clear when I go on the south side of the island, the north side is usually dirty, reef lies on the western edge.
I'm sure I'd have better luck with live bait though
