like I said repeatedly

It's not about the environment. It's all about money.

By the end of the 10-day conference, diplomats were once again divided over questions of how much money rich countries should give poor countries in aid to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and adapt to global temperature rises.

So far, rich nations have only pledged $10 billion to the UN’s Green Climate Fund. This is below the $15 billion goal set by the UN and well below the $100 billion per year promise made by rich countries, including the U.S., in 2009.

I feel secure knowing that the UN will put this money to great use like they always do.

Absolutely.

The cost of failing to address AGW is/will be very high. I'd like to avoid it. If we could keep adding excess CO2 to the atmosphere cost free I'd have no problem with it.

I'm going start up my big diesel truck and letting it run all night long just to piss you off.

Just imagine Tuba, all that black diesel smoke just belching out of that tailpipe all night long. And it's your fault.

For the true believers who've been washed in the blood of the delta smelt, and cry over the melting Antarctic ice situated above underwater volcanoes, it's all about guarding the faith.

The way you think scares the absolute frick out of me. You and people who think like you are willing to spend every last dime known to mankind in order to fulfill you're crazy fantasies.

TUba's expectation is that raising the cost of fossil fuels will somehow expedite the development of safe and reliable nuclear fusion reactor technology. This is how he is able to justify the nonsense that he types. It's a pipe dream right now. It is the equivalent of destroying the railroads in the early 1800's because commercial flight is a much more appealing and efficient way to travel.
