What if Army or Navy was ranked in the top 4 after championship Saturday?

Would they push back the final selection just in case they were upset next week?

Don't worry about it. This will never happen in modern day college football.

They wouldn't be in the top four anyways. Schedules are way too weak.

These people don't understand your what if.
Not sure what would happen if they were ranked that high. I would assume they would back the selection back a week.

People are right that it would never happen, but who knows? Maybe the best player in the country commits to Navy and convinces tons of players to come with him after an incredible speech at half time of the Under Armour Game.
I assume they would push it back a week. You would see it coming from a mile away.

Or they would just say: If Navy wins, they are #4 seed, but if they lose then team X will take their place in the playoffs...

There was a year when the BCS was extremely close between the top 4 teams and one of the teams involved played Navy.
They released the final BCS standings but the game could have affected the BCS rankings because of the computers.

Same could've happened this year, with ohio st having played navy.
