Hard to argue against it. Your best player goes down early and every single player stepped up and played with a hair up their arse. Ryno goes 42 mins. Rivers goes 7/7 from the line. Babbitt GOAT ISO defender (I don't care that Lebron was stupid efficient). Made him nail contested 18 footer after contested 18 footer and kept him out of the paint and off the line. Asik secured the paint. Jimmer came in and sparked the crowd. Tyreke goes 30 / 10 and hits a layup throwing it backwards.

Crowd took over and drowned out the screaming lebronette banshees that were loud early.

Babbitt more clutch than LeQuit.

Let's carry that heart and effort into Sunday! Get well soon AD!

ETA: dammit I forgot Monty. His game plan on defense was rock solid. Can't help that they hit some dumb shots. If he can coach like this consistently ( ) we might have something cookin. Maybe AD being out will allow him more flexibility when it comes to rotations.

We have 100 or so games under our belt. Which one was bigger?

If we carry this momentum into Sunday and beat Golden State does that make a difference?

Now that would be one of the bigger wins in the history of the franchise.

Hard to argue that. Triple OT game (also without AD)... GREAT play drawn by Monty to get a last-second layup... nuts.

2008 against the Celtics was a pretty big win. It was the best basketball game I've ever been to.

Probably not . . . BUT . . . given the context it was pretty damned big. Think about it. Two weeks ago we were in the dumps. So this win was very timely and meaningful given our schedule the rest of December. Last night we get an overall team effort against LeQuit, Irving, Love and co. And we're without AD.

can we discuss the bandwagon lebron/Kobe fans in this town? I just cannot fathom how you could live in a city with its own NBA team, with a superstar, and only come to a game to fawn over an opposing player. basketball is basketball...there are obviously a ton of NBA fans in New Orleans, how about showing that support for OUR team and not fricking Cleveland?

There were a couple right behind me. One guy and I got in a discussion (my wife got a little nervous ) Turned out the guy was okay. He'd just been a LeBron fan since high school. He loves AD and the Pelicans except when they play whatever LeQuit's team happens to be on.
