Should get a fender j bass or a Warwick.

The correct answer is one of each.

Warwicks are intriguing (I think of them as the PRS of basses), no question, but every bass player should have a Fender Jazz.

Jazz basses are classic. I've owned three of them and sold them all.
Depending on the style of music is what answer I would give...
That being said a 2014 American standard jazz isn't near the same quality of bass that a 2014 Warwick is IMO. The QC for Warwick basses are top notch.
Tone is by preference of personal taste. Warwicks are made from exotic tone woods and fenders aren't.

great basses... pretty pricy... however if the OP is talking about buying a warwick, he'd better have some $ saved up
