To deliver an LSU brand of football that is back in the playoffs and being seriously talked about as a National contender? How many more seasons of mediocrity before enough is enough?

The next 2 seasons are pretty big IMO. I know we will be re tooling our O Line, but we have experience because we went 2 and 3 deep this year. IMO its time to make some changes for the better and start getting the big results that we want (playoffs, National Championship).

I give him 2 more seasons to get it right here, and if he doesnt then we will never get there with Les Miles.

It's not up to me so it doesn't matter what I say.

However, if it were up to me, I'd give him two more seasons. Play for a national championship within two years or he's out. He doesn't even have to win it - just make it to that game and he's golden.
We've been irrelevant for too long with the level of talent we have. Our QB development has been terrible for too long.

These next 2 seasons will play a big role. We are finally turning the attrition corner and will need to have a shot at league champ.

how many more seasons before the negatards quit using the term "mediocrity" since they obviously do not know what it means

No doubt, and I totally meant this thread by support for Miles and the belief in him to bring us back to the big stage. I havent given up on him quite yet, but 2 more seasons of mediocrity and I give up totally on him....

I don't think that is the bar that should/will be set.

If LSU is a top 12ish team either of the next 2 years, I don't think LSU will/should consider making a move (assuming the program itself is as stable as it is right now).

If LSU has a couple of seasons like this year or if the program itself seems to be falling off, then 2 years seems like the right time to start asking the questions.

Why??? IF you are good enough to win the WEst in the next couple years there is NO team in the East that should beat you for the SEC title.........

So YES get me to the playoffs at least and maybe get into the Title game....

I think "mediocrity" would be better defined as New Orleans bowl or New Mex. bowl or Vegas bowl or Potato Bowl or Camellia Bowl or Popeyes bowl, but no doubt our bowl game leaves a little to be desired. imo

But getting a shot at the mighty ND is always a big plus in my book.

Not when all we have to do is finish in the top 4 in the nation to have a chance of playing for the national championship.

well sir your opinion is wrong. If you're playing in those bowls it means you are likely 6-6 or maybe 7-5. If that's the case then obviously that means you are likely 2-6 or 3-5 in conference play. Do you seriously think those conference records are mediocre? Those records are vandy/ kentuckyesque Hoss.

2011 is "Ancient History" Pumper Boy. You're only as good as what you've done in the last year or two.

This program has been on a steady decline since the 01/09/2012 abomination.

In 2011, we were rolling right along at 8-0 with JL as QB, everything looking well oiled and fine tuned then ole Les decides to screw with the chemistry by putting ole George/Jordan back in there. The Offense was not the same for the remainder of the season and then completely shite the bed in the NC game.

The "Program" hasn't been quite the same since, even with a "Competent" QB in 2013.

Going from playing in a NC game to where we are currently is definitely a prime example of Mediocrity. Rank Mediocrity. LSU is not Elite anymore. LSU is Mediocre.

If all you SP's, MA's and PW's would just pull your heads out of the sand and come up for a little air occasionally, (That Oxygen/Nitrogen is important for proper Brain function) the reality of the situation would become a little clearer and more tightly focused. Only in your mind is the football program at Louisiana State University still in the "Elite" category.

"Elites" don't play in Music City Bowls or finish the regular season with 4 losses and outside the Top 20 or fail to win Divisional/ Conference Championships.

Oh BTW, Kelly just committed to Ole Miss. That's one down, two to go. Fitzwater and Hubenak still on the "Rescue" JUCO QB board.
