Most home systems that I'm familiar with seem to lack low end frequencies. I need at least one room where I can drop the bass.

Can any of you audiophiles here on the tech board make a recommendation? Link?

My wife would kill me with all that exposed audio equipment. I'm going to have to go in the direction of a custom built-in for the main entertainment room.

Those SVS subs look really nice.

SVS subs are excellent and go low and are accurate.

1. Go to this thread. LINK

2. Purchase one of the subs you see there.

3. ?????

4. Drop the bass.

ETA... Are you using this system for music or movies? Bass in movies is usually way lower than bass in music. Do you have a budget?

I got a pair of these at an employee auction the other year for a few grand, they sound amazing and have strong low frequency reproduction.

For a new home why not have a professional design it for the home and install it?

Depending on how many rooms he wants to do; how many sources he wants to control and the level of control he wants that $10000 won't go far.
