no, there are SEC teams like A&M and Miss State that did not play a Power 5 team out of conferences...neither did Ole Miss, but at least they played Boise State.

I think if Miles were leaving for Michigan it would have already happened by now. LSU bowl game means nothing and he would want to get to UM to start recruiting. Miles will be at LSU until he retires.

And doing so didn't hurt them at all in the eyes of the powers that be in college football. As I recall, they were in the top 4 till the last game of the season which was their 2nd. L.

Now, might they have been jumped if they beat Miss., maybe....

Appears to me that if you play in the SECW and you have only 1 L for the season you are a real good bet to be in the final 4 no matter if you play Power 5 teams or not.

I disagee with the idea that it needs to happen immediately for recruting purposes. Miles won't get many new recruits at first and LSU won't lose many, if any, over Miles leaving. I don't believe Miles will retire at LSU unless it's like a Fulmer or Brown kind of retirement. He can't last that long with the direction of this program and I'm sure he knows that.

LSU Russian is the perfect example of what an idiot is. Just disregard such as pure fools who know little and make baseless criticism of others.

I would much rather have Miles than McElwain or Riley.. Nebraska and UF are comparable programs, so I think they would give us good insight on what our expectations should be should Miles leave. I'm not a huge Miles fan, but I would definitely be nervous about trying to replace him.

Miles is not being silent. Because LSU is not in the playoff hunt he has no scheduled public appearances which is why he is out on the recruiting trail firming up the next class...

I don't believe a lot of what some of these CFB coaches say but Miles has told too many people out on the recruiting trail that he is not going anywhere. I do have faith in his word that if he told the players that then he means it.

Mich has hired a search firm now and they don't need a search firm to talk to Les...

I've said this very thing and gotten blasted. Take out the cupcake games and tell me the win percentage. A Nicholls State type team will most likely never beat an LSU team.

Okay, but than you have to take the cupcakes away from all the other teams. If you do that the standard for success has to be reduced, and 50% becomes a pretty fair number.

Les is busy . Its recruiting time .. tiresome to keep responding to all this ... I would be "quiet" , too ...

This is 100% false because of Ole Fartstain Carr. The firm is UMs way of politely telling him to go to hell, whoever they hire.

Hastily called press conference just before the Music City Bowl. Ends with "Have a great day."
