Les just tweeted this out.....

"@LSUCoachMiles: Congrats to La'el Collins for winning SEC's Jacobs Blocking Trophy.Big award,graduation,1st Rd pick because he came back for senior year. LM"

Love that he's letting the other underclassmen know that coming back is important. I mean, that is what he's doing right?

I was going to post this, but edit in a #GEAUXBLUE at the end.

Everyone loves pointing out how La'el is going to make bank for coming back. And they're right, he is. But the other side of the coin is Landry, Beckham, Hill... guys who took a shot and left early, drafted early, and are making money a year earlier and are a year closer to their big contracts.

Well...Zach was a senior and there was little doubt that Landry and Beckham stock was at the top.

I'm talking about the guys that shouldn't go....like Chris Falk, Freak, so on.

Yep. Unfortunately it kind of makes more sense now to leave early unless you will be a mid to high first round pick. The 2nd contract is what matters most.

Lets just use last years rookie pay. Collins was projected to be a late third to early 4th round pick. The WR's had to go because they knew the QB would suck.

If he would have left and got drafted in the 13th spot in the 3rd he would have gotten $2,927,00.

The 13th pick in the first round this year will be over $10,500,000.

He made the right move.

Kwon should stay if he is projected in the 3rd or later round. All 1st round and high second round projections should leave. He could get an insurance policy based on his projected draft status.

Also the signing bonuses and guaranteed money are crazy in the 1st round

Negatively, as that's how it was meant.

Then I don't understand why you're jumping on my case. I never use hashtags.
