International credit card fraud….do I have recourse…should I inform business?

I recently spent a few days in Mexico. I used my credit card at exactly ONE establishment (a middle of the road restaurant). Fast forward 1 month later and come to find out there have been almost $2000 in charges on my credit card in Mexico over the last 3 days. They went nuts at a Costco for over $1600 and bought gasoline a couple of times.
Fortunately, the credit card company told me that I am not responsible for any of the charges. They are opening up a fraud investigation and I am in the clear. They cancelled my card and I'll get a new one soon. So no harm there…
My question is this….since I only took that card out of my wallet one time the whole trip, it is obvious that someone working at the restaurant stole my credit card number and figured out a way to use it. Is it my duty to call that place and inform them that they have a fungus and a thief working for them? Will the credit card company do this while they are investigating the matter? And do I have any recourse against the restaurant for allowing my identity to be stolen?
Or am I just better off letting it all go and being happy that I am not paying out of my pocket for some Mexican fella's shopping spree.
