Do your grades get significantly better throughout the semester?

Without fail, I always seem to start the semester making C's, D's, and F's, but by the end of the semester I am making straight A's doing harder material. For the last 3rd of this semester, I haven't made lower than a B on any test.

fricks up my GPA, but I'm too lazy to review before classes start and have a horrible memory. For some reason, I get bored in the middle and basically stop caring, and it makes my grades increase

I usually get like 60s on the first test then As on the rest. It usually averages out to a B.

No. I made A's on the early ones so I didn't have to worry about the last ones.

It was always nice knowing a D on the final got you at least a B. Getting a C got you an A.

I like to do this too. But sometimes it takes a test or two to figure out to expect from it in terms of question material, ways questions are phrased, and selection of material.

I think I don't understand the material when I start, and then get better and better with it as the semester progresses. That foundation is where it's at, and I just don't have it in the beginning.

Seems like you never got it

I tended to ace tests and get 0s or other failing grades for anything involving homework. Ended up with a lot of B's that way (daily/weekly assignments that counted 10-15% of a final grade).
