Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 vs Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4

Backstory: I purchased my girlfriend a Tab 4 10.1 for Christmas($249.99 on CyberMonday from Target) however I'm looking now and Best Buy currently has the Tab Pro 8.4 on sale for $229.99. My gut tells me to return the 10.1 and pickup the 8.4. Does anyone have experience with these two?
I don't have any experience with tablets but the 8.4 just seems to be a much better platform. Way better resolution(2560x1600 vs 1280x800), better cameras, etc. I bought the 10.1 because of the bigger screen but after playing with it and watching a few videos the difference in resolution is pretty noticable. Seems like a no-brainer to make the swap, right?
