i feel the reaching out is to placate the fan base and gauge his interest, which i suspect to be low, unless an absurd amount of money is thrown out there...

i think most of the fanbase is begging for harbaugh. if the rappaport report is true he has told them no and UM is moving on.

like i said, i don't see Harbaugh going back to the college ranks... the Raiders want him, and he wants away from the 49ers... it makes too much sense....

The only way this works is if they approach Les correctly. He has to feel needed. They say, "We need you, Les. Come home and save the Wolverines." If they appeal to his heart, he goes. If they make him feel like a plan B, then no dice.

I'll be pulling hard for him at Michigan if he does go. Partly because he's a very likeable guy and partly because I.loathe Corch Irvin Meyer Weiner. (That's assuming Meyer is able to return next year and Saban doesn't kill him/make him quit next month.)
