will Charlie Roberts be there? Trying to decide if I should bring my daughters or not...

At least the Nashville chapter knows how to have a reasonably priced tailgate party. The Houston chapter needs to take notes.

these alumni groups just need to stop.

Just because the Dallas events have been shitty and the Houston event was ridiculously overpriced does not mean this Nashville event will automatically suck. I say give them a chance before we publicly demean them.

Alumni groups are fine it is just a travesty that so many turned a blind eye to Roberts for so long...but things are headed in right direction now and it is the alums who support the school and the sports etc the most...especially in our State

It's amazing the negative stigma that Houston caused at the beginning of the year. Several people at my work were saying "but Houston sucked for what we paid" like it's all the same people. I hope everyone gives this one a chance.
ETA: If any Nashville Alums are reading this, read this thread on how NOT to do your tailgate.

people on here said just because the dallas ones sucked doesn't mean the Houston one will, but of course it did. by putting on bad, costly tailgate parties in dallas(twice), Houston and pretty much every other odd location for an lsu game I think its safe to say that this one will be bad too

Im not. I just hate that other fans will waste money and waste their time on more alumni association garbage while they could be having a good time elsewhere. Sometimes fans have to look out for other fans.

HEY LSUHOUSTONTAILGATE THIS IS HOW YOU HOST A TAILGATE
Posted on 12/11/14 at 9:15 am to AnonymousTiger
Alumni tailgates are for nerds with no social skills, so they feel they have to buy into some organized BS, because they are scared they can't go it alone and carve their own social path.
It's not scary kids. Other LSU fans that you don't know become friends real quick if you just get off your phone and speak words.

Are Tiger fans planning on attending this event, or is there a bar where fans plan on gathering before the game?
Posted on 12/26/14 at 9:27 pm to AnonymousTiger
I can see that there are a lot of posters in this thread who hav never footed the bill for a large tailgate before.....$65 per person is very reasonable for what these folks are offering....If I were to attend the game, I would certainly attend this tailgate....

I am sure we will hit up a bar then an actual tailgate.

Well this puts the thing in Houston this year to shame.

Not only bought my 2, but got 2 for my kids and 2 for my friends coming up from Baton Rouge. We're gonna pass a good time in NashVegas.
Not sure why some think this won't be fun. When you see the prices of food and drink inside of LP field, you'll realize this is a steal.
LSU Fighting Tiger band and cheerleaders will be present, and the live music will be great. Should be a lot of fun. Hope to see all of yall next week.
Geaux Tigers!
