Changes on the way for the #Saints. WR Joe Morgan has been informed he’s being waived, source said. More coming.

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton promised personnel changes. It looks like he meant it.

Wide receiver Joe Morgan has been waived, according to the NFL Network.

On Tuesday morning, Morgan tweeted two vague statements that could possibly allude to the news.

"Welp," he tweeted.

He added: "Lol on the day off though."

This ends Morgan's topsy turvy tenure with the Saints. He was coming off an ACL injury that caused him to miss all of the 2013 season, and was suspended for two weeks this season for undisclosed reasons.

Brees appeared to be correcting him for not coming back to the ball on a deep route. Not sure what Payton's issue was ...

I saw Payton chase down Morgan and light him up on the sideline vs. Carolina. Considering everything in Morgan's past, this isn't shocking.

Honestly, I'm okay with it. Morgan is really talented and I wish him the best, but he's obviously been a problem in the locker room and off the field. And now apparently on it.

Df ??? Link. I know we are pretty good at wide out, but toon starts to catch and we just forget about Morgan?!?!?! We don't have a deep threat with cooks out. Stills is from time to time. We must just be tanking it in for next year and as much as I think we should go Defense or O-Line in the draft with Colston on the decline I bet our office goes BPA and we move foward with a wide out core of Stills, Cooks, Cooper, Graham, Colston

Morgan made no effort whatsoever on that interception. We've been waiting on this guy to show us something and he never does.

Peace!

So Morgan gets to be the scapegoat? Okay.

You think they just randomly picked him out?

Wow. Sounds very tense in New Orleans today. More than 10 players called individually into #Saints coach Sean Payton’s office for review

absolutely correct. The ball was underthrown or thrown late, but you cant try to catch a contested ball at your waist falling away. You have to slam on the brakes and high-point a contested ball.

Seen Lance Moore do this a few times too with the same result - drove me nuts.

Guess there's some truth to the rumors that it was Joe Morgan that hit Cam Newton today.

I hope the majority are defensive players.

A few in particular that I have in mind...

He's been on thin ice with Payton all year and was given a 2nd chance

Yeah that was my knee jerk reaction. Made a ton more sense after I processed it for a sec.
