Is Alleva even trying to allow fans to go??? I would so be there if it wasn't for a work day. Having only 6000 go on a holiday last year you think they would learn. Oh well maybe i can take a lonnnng lunch break or a siesta.
Should be a nailbiter unless LM floors his ferrari, unlike last year when the guy dropped the ball before the end-zone untouched and that's how we bear an unranked team. Geaux Tigers

Actually, it turns out we can be picky.
Looks like we are as 'elite' as I thought.

You know they scored one of their 2 TDs three plays after the guy dropped the ball at the one yard line don't you? My guess is you didn't.
You sound like a dumbass.

Well they've already sold more than 6,000 tickets...

You may have to work, but there's a lot of people that take vacation between Christmas & New Year's & can easily travel to any bowl game that week.

Where did you get this information from?
Do we know how many tickets each school was given?
Notre Dame fans will travel even though they are having a down year.

Do you honestly think Joe Alleva truly has input on gametime & gamedate for a Bowl Game? Are you serious?

According to some, the Texas Bowl folks wanted LSU but we turned our attention to the Music City Bowl once we found out that Notre Dame had been invited. If that's true, then apparently LSU did have some say in their bowl destination. As long as we sell out our ticket allotment, then it's a mute point. If we don't, and LSU loses money on unsold tickets for the 3rd year in a row, then Alleva or whomever made the decision to pursue the Music City Bowl bid will end up with egg on his face.

you've obviously been "out of town" for a good while...lol
Bowl "invitees" are now REQUIRED to purchase a set # of seats...if they are not sold, the school takes a LOSS or it comes out of the overall guarantee. The SEC can and has stepped in to "mitigate" losses for certain bowls/teams.LSU is responsible for 8000 tickets at the Music City Bowl

I know this.

In other words, LSU loses money. I know this too.

If so, then why has Alleva sent out emails for the past 2 years practically begging LSU fans to purchase tickets if the SEC is gonna offset the loss anyway?
