So let's live in a fantasy world where the saints somehow finish 7-9 and the Falcons do too. What is the tie break?

Does this 7-9 include us beating them?

They hold the tiebreaker over us currently.

I think the Falcons win b/c of our div loss to Car

so we need to beat them by a game

Correct. We must beat them and win by one game unless they lose their one and only other divisional game in which case we win the tie-break in the common opponents.

The first 4 are in order:
Head to head
Division record
Record in common opponents
Record within the conference

There are 12 steps total if necessary

its simple if we are both 7-9

Atl must lose to 2 DIV opponents/NO and Carolina

NO must win remaining DIV games/Can only lose to Chicago

If this criteria is met NO wins NFCS at 7-9 otherwise at 7-9 we would lose all other tiebreaker scenarios Hypothetically.

EDIT: Since ATL is currently losing to GB and most likely will lose anyway...This Hypothetical will be meaningless in about a hour and a half regardless.
