both or neither. I'm thinking if Patterson commits, Franks goes elsewhere.

Patterson then no care. Why can't LSU pull in an elite recruit again. shite it's been a desert.

I have nothing to back it up, but Franks and baseball makes me nervous as hell. I really hope we get Shea, whether Franks is here or not.

Patterson may be a bigger need than Ryan Perrilloux out of high school

Is he not a highly regarded baseball prospect with a build MLB loves? He even throws the football like it's a baseball.

On that topic, Shea's highlight tape is scary good and his mechanics are flawless. I hope we're pulling out all the stops to get him.

As MrWiseGuy pointed out, he isn't throwing 95mph

Watched him on Friday. He does have solid Mechanics. However, you would expect his decision making to be a lot better with all the coaching he receives. Plus, he's playing double a Ball with 5-A supporting cast. That game against Catholic shouldn't have been close.

Outside of Mett last year our QB has been worse than bad, I would agree that we must get him.

Both plus a possible 3rd. Best crop of Louisiana QBs in a long time, plus Franks out in Florida. We have got to take advantage.

So how much stock do people put in all the reports that side by side, Franks was the better QB at LSU's camp? I would love to get both, but Franks apparently is no slouch himself. I feel like some are over playing the huge need to get Shea just because Franks is committed and Shea is still out there. It's all about what you don't have. I would love to have both, but if we get either we'll be ok. The only reason i would worry about losing Shea, assuming Franks gets to LSU, is the possibility other top LA players follow him.

I can't speak for anyone else, but the film does it for me. The way Shea moves in the pocket, with no wasted motion, is something you hope to see seniors in college doing. I hate comparisons, but his body control and footwork are very similar to JFF's. He shows touch when he needs to, but can burn it too. If this kid was 6'3" he would be a unanimous #1 overall.

Maybe he just had an off day or Franks was just really on, but i just don't get why people dismiss Franks. Every report i read on that camp, said that Franks won the day. I guess my point is that, yes Shea is a very talented football player and i would love to see him at LSU, but I don't see him as a make or break, huge need in next years class if that camp was indicative of the talent levels of these two. As long as we get one, it sets us up nicely with all the other studs were in on next year. As it stands right now, I think the most pressing need next year is LBers.
