The best thing about the Playoff selections...

We are talking about how Baylor or TCU got screwed, and not Oregon. Under the BCS formula, the title game would be Bama v. FSU, leaving out perhaps the best team in the country.
The playoff was worth it just to prevent the ultimate screw job of Oregon.

I kinda like it when Oregon gets left out. Those northwest liberals can bitch and moan with the best of them. It's pretty entertaining.

Did the BCS computers continue to crunch numbers and determine Oregon would have missed out?

The BCS formula is essentially the human polls with a check to keep them from doing anything remarkably stupid. But its almost impossible for a team not ranked top two in the human polls to not make the title game in the wake of 2007 and the changing of the formula to insure that never happened again.
Bama and FSU are 1-2 in the coaches poll, and yeah, those computer polls still exist. That would be your matchup, almost certainly.
