UAB and ULM say hi.

I meant embarrass from a personal standpoint, not wins or losses.

All coaches have lost bad games, but it's quite a stretch to pull out Saban's losses from 10+ years ago. His ULM loss was from his first season at Bama.

I seem to have read somewhere that Saban's done ok after that.

Saban might be a no good SOB but I never herd him drop the F-bomb in public and also in front of his wife and kids. And for a family man there are sure a lot of speculation with Miles and an affair on the Michigan boards.

Guy makes a nice post with a link to Miles being a good man. But the Sabanistas come roaring out from hanging out with the cockroaches all day to profess their love for Nickie and hatred for Miles.

We've got some of the worst "fans" in American.

Yeah then he would've won the game.

Unless it was UAB or ULM.

I guess he got the last laugh on UAB, though, didn't he?

No one would care if he was a good family man or not if he was a better Coach. When you talk about the successful coaches do you ever hear about families? It's a shame we have a coach that is so incompetent that you have to talk about his family to keep from talking about his abilities as a Football Coach

I travel quite a bit with my job and I can truthfully say that Les Miles is not viewed as a Goof on a national basis. He is viewef by most fans I have intetacted with as one of the top coaches in the nation. Which he is. This Goofball
reputation seems to come from fanbases Les has beaten and LSUs own fan base unfortunately.

Rabalais pointed out this fact quite well in his article from last week. Many didnt seem to get the point of the article which was aimed at the lack of appreciation toward Les Miles by LSU fans themselves. He was right. Some LSU fans are simply not well versed in football (even tho they think they are. What they really are is embarrassing.

Ah yes. The ole standby argument of anyone that is critical of Miles is stupid, unintelligent and/or knows nothing about football. You "positigers" really should meet to come up with a new script. It's the same shite day in and day out. Hell, this thread is nothing but a 15 ft. High flaming strawman.

I guess next season will determine which group will be right as far as les Miles the coach. Should have some holes to fill, as most teams do, but should also have a talented team. No more excuses! If LSU is truely a top tier team then we should be in the playoff PERIOD! So Les time to prove the doubters wrong!

Ok genius. You tell me exactly what kind of year you expected this season with inexperienced players starting at WR, RB, QB, DT, LB. Many of you "bashers" complain about damn near everything but never let reality enter the conversation. For instance, the Brandon Harris situation. Many "bashers" still complain about Harris not playing and intentionally overlook the horrendous showing Harris had against Auburn.
Obviously you think you know more than Cam Cameron and Les Miles because of the never ending complaining about giving Harris another shot. I suppose you think Miles and Cameron aren't capable of watching practice and seeing the competition.

Les is a good dude, and this does matter when it comes to closing on the best recruits.

It is wonderful that he is such a great family man and that he is so nice to kids. But really,30 minutes? I could see 30 seconds but is this really all he had to do for 30 minutes before a football game?

Frankly, this kind of posts it amaze me.
We are paying $ 4MM a year + to a man to do a job and we are here judging if he is a good person or not.

I do not want a bad image or character rubbing off on the LSU name, but I do not need "mother Teresa" ..personal level is just that, personal.

That's not what I judge him on, nor for what he is paid.

we have 4 losses and little or no offense,
that concerns me.

every team loses players each year. That's what recruiting and player development are for. To prepare and have replacements ready to go. And usually, we have a pretty good idea of who's going to be leaving, so all of our player losses aren't out of left field.

This is simply the nature of college football, and it's the job of the (highly paid) coaches to anticipate it and have replacements ready.

Is Saban as arse? Probably. But he doesn't embarrass Alabama, and didn't embarrass LSU. And, oh by the way, the man wins, and wins big

You can't say anything about Les Miles on this board without a disagreement. For now, the guy is our coach, so you either take it or leave it.

Oh boy. Another one. god forbid anyone have a critical opinion. You must accept all results without question.

You're like the LSU inquisition. Seeking out heretics who date utter a critical word about the miles papacy.
