Remake the offensive line and get some BEEF along DL.

Wed be an 11-5 team almost immediately assuming that Byrd comes back 100%.

I dont see it if there is a rift btw drew and jimmy.

That wouldnt even be a good reason not to throw to him.

Actually not throwing to him worked well last week.

I just think they have kinda quit, especially at home. They dont play with fire in the dome. They did against san fran and baltimore, but these noon games, they havent.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Brees is capable of one, if not more, championship runs. Payton, I don't know. This team is rotten to its core, and that starts at him. The abortion on the field yesterday is the biggest sign yet that something is very wrong behind the scenes. If Payton has lost the locker room, I don't know what else there is for him to do.

They did against SF. Yesterday was the first complete non effort Dome game since 2004.

Payton will and should get a few more chances to right the ship. A major cleansing of assistant coaches needs to happen though.

I do think another run is possible, but the right moves need to be made in the offseason. All coaches need to be held accountable for the shite fest this season, but Bill Johnson, Joe Vitt, and Greg McMahon all need to be shown the door.

Not that Sean would approve of it, but I'd also bring in a OC with a big enough set of nuts to tell Payton that end arounds on 4th down, and TE screens on 3rd down to Josh Hill are dumb fricking playcalls. Right now, Carmichael just looks like Payton's bitch boy on the sideline, which is why I'm guessing he's one of the few coaches from the offensive side that hasn't been hired away from us over the years.

If Kromer is let go in Chicago, the team needs to be on their knees begging him and Dennis Allen back.

If not, then it is reasonable to want to blow it up and start over, which we'll have to do soon anyway

If next season mirrors this one, then you have to start looking towards the future. Not necessarily a full overhaul, but an early round QB (if not taken this offseason), and things like that.

if he has then there is definitely a few players undermining him or coaches (ryan?)

those people need to go or he does...he has a ring

Who can hold Payton accountable and demand these changes, though?

Loomis and he are seemingly blood brothers.

Tom Benson has (from all indications) turned the keys over to Lauscha (sp?). Does Lauscha have that kind of clout or empowerment or chutzpah to oust Loomis or force Payton to oust his butt buddies on the coaching staff like Vitt or McMahon?

if you cut/trade the shitbags and one of them is a big name, cough jimmy cough, you send a message while rooting out the weeds

I agree with the poster about bill Johnson, maybe not so much joe vitt...adios

ryan has to go at this point as well. gary gibbs did more with less.

too bad we didn't wait out spags one more year and we could've had Schwartz.

I believe Gregg Williams, he has no reason to lie, those 2 probably fricking hate each other...too many cooks in the kitchen, too many big personalities

I dont think so, not with the way we have been drafting and the types of contracts we have given out.

I think Graham wanted to leave this past offseason when the contract dispute was ongoing.

I say stop taking them to a coushy summer camp while they listen to rap music. Take them to Hammond where they can sweat their stones off. Ask what the Bear would do.

Something is happening in that locker room.
Agreed. Every coach needs to take a long look in the mirror. Then they need to convince all the players to look in the mirror as well. People talk about fire and how they aren't seeing it on the sidelines. I get that and I don't see it either but I think they do have the desire to win. Has Sean made it too much of a business and took the fun out? I have no idea but everyone needs to change and leaders need to step up.
