Yesterday put the icing on this season's shite cake for me. Do I hope we magically have some kind of NY Giants 2007 magic gris gris run in us? Absolutely? But as of now, we're looking at the 9th pick in the draft. I'll take that over getting bounced in the first round just for a chance.
I know...I know...."there's always hey a chance when you get in that dance", but cmon man. Take off the black and gold glasses and just realize this team has no offensive consistency, and they're absolutely loaded with injuries in the defensive secondary.

These kind of years can set us up for a major run through Drew's last glory years and I'll take a lump now for a better chance at sustained future success.

Never thought I would get to this point, but I am there. This team is so bad it is painful to watch. Need to lose out and get a good pick.

I was there like a month ago. Why go to the playoffs and get absolutely embarrassed?

I'm dumb because I want to fortify the next few years' teams with top 10 level talent instead of another early 20s pick that probably won't pan out? Brees only has a few years left, why would you want to waste a down year like this and not at least get good draft position out of it? That was really the only benefit from 2012 was that we got a playmaker in Vaccaro who was a beast in 2013. Those down years help bolster the up years. That would basically just get thrown away if we luck into winning the division.

That said....if we do make them, I don't want anyone but Seattle in the dome for payback. That'd be about the only positive.

Problem is you'll get top 70 talent for that top ten pick.

have you seen any other games? You can't hang your hat on one or two games. Look at the whole product.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's. making the playoffs back then was such a HUGE thing. to me......it still is. to those that have lathered in the success of the last few years, maybe they take it for granted.

There is no guarantee that the Saints would get a better player with the 9th overall pick than the 14th overall pick.

You still root for the playoffs.

I do because we can't rely on this organization to even make the best of a good draft slot. May as well raise the hollow banner and get smoked in the first round.

He looked fine when he ran one in, then hollywooded at the last second.

I guess our super bowl doesn't count cause we gimped Warner and Farve...in the PLAYOFFS?
