But really well done by City. At least they are attempting to build for the future with youth development. Unlike PSG or Monaco. That is what also separates them from those two clubs. They have tangible assets. World class stadium and world class facilities. Rich owner does not mean rich club. Looks like City is actually embracing FFP now
In Dublin at the US game, I actually met a guy from NOLA who worked for Man City. He was a West Ham fan.

Pablo Zabaleta has admitted Manchester City can have “no excuses” for failing to become an established major domestic and European force following the official opening of the £200m City Football Academy.
The facility is a bespoke, state-of-the-art training centre that has taken two years to build with City examining around 70 sites that service differing sports around the world, the club travelling to Europe, America, and Australia and deliberating over 19 designs before green-lighting the finished version.
A short walk over the purpose built bridge from the Etihad Stadium, the CFA is primed for the club to be successful from first team to juniors with “two thirds” dedicated to youth development.

Kun getting hurt sucked, but it was nice that when it happened MP went to the kid Pozo for the remaining 85 minutes.
They've got a young Spanish left-back that is getting on the bench more and should be ready soon.
The Academy has done a great job prouducing players for the Championship or Scotland the last 5 years. It will be nice when some of the kids are good enough for City.

Pozo will be good, not sure if he will ever get regular first team action. Crazy he was bought from Real Madrid for over 2 million as a youth player

If anything all this does is gives City some wiggle room with FFP. So if they keep up their spending habits, they are still selling young players. Who knows if they decide to give academy players the chance a few years down the line. Especially English ones. A complete change in philosophy will have growing pains, if they decide to send out a regular first team squad with lots of academy players.
Alot of the U-21 roster is kids bought from other Euro bases academies. But their younger age groups look good with English kids.

Unreal... in the first pic what is the large blue field area, is that a tarp? (I thought it was an Olympic pool at first)

I came to talk shite, but Jesus Christ, that thing is gorgeous. I love the sight of a well-manicured pitch.
