No need for the Big 12 to panic

A team from the power conference will be left out ever year. Say next year you have 2 loss ACC or Pac 12 teams win their conference championship game. While the Big 12 has a one loss or unbeaten team. The ACC or Pac 12 team will be the odd man out.
Looking at the Power 5 conferences, the quality of programs and the football first conferences. The ACC will probably end up being the odd man out most the time. Especially once FSU slips up. The ACC programs year in and year out are just not on par with the rest.

This will probably happen to the B12 again very soon if they don't play a conference championship game.

I remember when your fan base thought West Virginia earned a spot in the SEC by losing to LSU by 4 TDs.

Yeah, if the current format continues the Big12 is also going to get 1 loss teams into the playoff spot simply because 1 loss teams above them lose their conference championship games in given years.
It's just going to be luck of the draw every year as to whether no CG helps or hurt unless the committee starts putting teams with an extra loss over them based on CG results.
They just need to drop that "one true champion" talking point asap.

The Big 12 has an incompetent commissioner and tie-breaking rules that are an absolute joke. They need to have one champion.

TCU and Baylor just got jumped by an Ohio State team that lost by double digits at home to a 6-6 Virginia Tech outta that same ACC you seem to think the Big 12 will consistently beat out.
Listen man, you may not have figured it out yet but if you aren't named Texas or Oklahoma you ain't getting into a 4 team playoff with a loss and no conference title game. None of the other schools are ever going to get the benefit of the doubt.

Other than FSU and maybe Clemson the ACC sucks

Agreed. The ACC is in trouble. One loss by Florida State and they wouldn't have had a team sniff the playoffs.

Like others have said and i know that the Big 12 got you guys in after the defections of Texas A&M, Mizzou and Nebraska and colorado but IMO, you need to immediately , I mean as soon as Bowl season is over add two teams to make it 12 so you can get back to that Championship game and I think the Big 12 will be okay. Without that extra game and again just my opinion, I believe you will continue to suffer under this format.

It was in the by-laws but Bowlsby ignores it for some reason. I think there will be a big push to fire him and add teams/ championship game
